Ecoffee Cup is a European leader in the provision of reusable products for Horeca businesses seeking to remove single-use items from their supply chains.
Tell us about your entrepreneur journey.
We came from advertising and manufacturing backgrounds to build a giftware business. On the back of this experience, we founded Ecoffee Cup in 2014 and have sold over 8 million Ecoffee Cups since.
What is the role of impact in your business?
Impact is central to what we do! Based on a very simple metric that suggests that every “again” is a gain, if 2 million people chose to re-use just once a week, we would prevent 104 million cups from ending up in landfills each year. Small change can have a BIG impact.
What was your biggest challenge in raising investment before coming to ClearlySo?
Working with PE is fraught. Finding a deal that was in keeping with our personal requirements, as well as our business objectives required a lot of patience and ability to say ‘no’.
How has ClearlySo supported you and your business?
ClearlySo brokered our first round of investment.
What does the future look like for your business?
We are scaling again after a drastic reduction due to COVID. The problem of single use has exploded during the same period, so the opportunity remains larger and more pressing than ever before.

We have produced Ecoffee Cup for Buckingham Palace and the Netherlands Royal Family.
