ClearlySo client TenX Health joins Octopus Ventures in major boost to its digital healthcare revolution
Octopus to cornerstone proposed £100m institutional global fund to take advantage of the health technology market opportunity
Octopus Ventures has kickstarted the New Year by announcing the addition of the TenX Health team – Joe Stringer, Dr. Pooja Sikka and Shamik Parekh – as it looks to launch a proposed £100m institutional global fund to take advantage of the health technology market opportunity.
ClearlySo is delighted to see its client join forces with Octopus, where the team of three will build on Octopus’ existing expertise in the rapidly evolving sector, in particular the opportunity to transform public healthcare systems across Europe and the Emerging Markets.
Combining more than 40 years of operational healthcare and sector investment expertise, including leadership roles at Google Health UK and EY Ventures (leading the health and social care portfolio), the team will manage the proposed fund, which is targeting £100m to invest in early-stage health technology businesses. Octopus Group will be the cornerstone investor, bringing its strong track record and experience to the table.
Further details are available via the Octopus press release.
William Lowry, Impact Funds – ClearlySo: “As health technology evolves in the face of the pandemic, so too have Joe and Pooja redefined how investors should approach the sector. In addition to its commercial potential, the team brings an unwavering commitment to impact which, in ClearlySo’s opinion, will see Joe and Pooja emerge as influential figures in the Impact Funds space.”
