We are currently recruiting for the following roles at ClearlySo:

Impact Services Manager

This is a permanent, full-time position based in ClearlySo’s London office.

ClearlySo is the leading UK financial intermediary in the growing impact investing space.  We work exclusively with ventures and funds delivering positive social and/or environmental impact as well as financial return, providing them with corporate finance advice and assisting them in raising investment capital. ClearlySo has advised clients raising over £100m of investment, from a broad network of individual and institutional investors, to help them scale their business. We are seeking outstanding individuals who share our vision of a financial system that supports positive impact.


The Role

We are looking for an experienced, energetic and innovative Impact / ESG manager to join a new and specialist team within ClearlySo.

Reporting to the Head of Impact Services, your role will be to launch and deliver a new set of services to empower private investment firms to take action to increase the positive impact of their portfolios.  Post-launch, your role will be to oversee delivery of quality output that meets our clients high expectations, whilst continually seeking ways to evolve and improve the services we offer. You will be a key part of a challenging and innovative project, breaking new ground and exploring opportunities as they emerge.


Key activities:

Oversee delivery of services and ensure the output is always of the highest quality

Continually improve the process to deliver client services

Evolve the methodology and services ClearlySo offers, whilst being cognisant of clients’ priorities and constraints

Support the recruitment, motivation, development and management of a dynamic team of analysts

Stay up to date with macro themes in the global field of impact investing and bring those insights to bear on the services we provide



Minimum 4 years experience in social impact measurement or ESG analysis

Experience working with institutional investors

Creativity and open-mindedness; a proven ability to develop new and better ways of doing things

Familiarity with relevant ESG information sources and research best practice.

Detail-oriented, with a drive to always produce the highest-quality work for clients, but with an ability to prioritise

Client service experience, and a background working with senior professional clients

Experience managing a team

Interest in building a better financial system that supports positive social and environmental impact


Additional strengths:

Understanding of the UK impact investment sector

An understanding of the constraints, priorities and opportunities for venture capital and private equity firms

Experience in an entrepreneurial environment, building new products or services with a small team

Formal qualifications in financial and/or environmental and social analysis

Relationships with Trade Unions and NGOs


What we offer:

Salary within £45,000 to £55,000 range, depending on experience.

Stock options after one year of employment, and bonuses based upon firm-wide performance.
