The Big Issue Foundation is a national charity which connects vendors with the vital support and solutions that enable them to rebuild their lives and journey away from homelessness.
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Supporter Care and Database Assistant to support the Supporter Care and Database Manager. You will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service and be responsible for championing data management and processes across The Big Issue Foundation, supporting the accurate and effective management of our supporter database, The Raiser’s Edge. Duties range from being the first point of contact for The Big Issue Foundation’s current and potential supporters who contact us by telephone, letter or email for all complex and non-standard enquires, to administration of direct debits and standing orders and establishing a bank of high quality supporter-focused communications for thanking of all donations, dealing with enquiries and complaints.
The successful candidate will have excellent supporter care skills, proven experience in a front-line supporter care role in a similar supporter service environment and excellent knowledge of charity database preferably Raiser’s Edge. You will also have good working knowledge of HMRC’s Gift Aid scheme and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
