At Teach First, we work in partnership with schools and other organisations to end inequality in education by building a community of exceptional leaders who create change within classrooms, schools and across society.
We’re looking for a bright, energetic and committed individual to develop and run early stage innovation programmes to ensure that more brilliant ideas for breaking the link between a child’s background and their educational success take seed and grow.
Over the last 10 years, we’ve nurtured a number of education-focussed social enterprises including Jamie’s Farm, Hackney Pirates and The Brilliant Club. Building on our success, we want to build powerful programmes that incentivise and support even more members of our community – and develop truly innovative solutions to the complex issues underpinning educational disadvantage in this country.
With your excellent organisational and relationship building skills, you’ll lead on an events programme of innovation weekends, idea generation weekends, innovation awards – and because this is a new team in a new department, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to demonstrate your creative flair, proactive approach and leadership whilst building something new and exciting.
You should have experience in the social enterprise and innovation sectors, be knowledgeable about innovation techniques and practises, clued-up about online community management and be an expert on how to turn ideas into action. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape how we work with our alumni community by maximising their ability to develop new ideas that can drive change.
