Coutts & Co

In June 2010, ClearlySo and private bank Coutts & Co joined forces. As part of the agreement, we launched the UK's first ever social enterprise advisory service. This includes social investment events in which social entrepreneurs from our extensive network travel to Coutts' headquarters on the Strand in London to seek capital from an audience of investors.

Following on from a series of events in London, this service has expanded across the country to locations such as Newcastle, Manchester and Birmingham.

The partnership effectively capitalises on the strengths of both organisations. Coutts provides access to its client base of high net worth individuals, while ClearlySo offers its vast network of social businesses and enterprises. In addition, we also work closely with the entrepreneurs to maximise their chances of securing investment. In the weeks before the event we scrutinise each application and work closely with the social entrepreneurs. All those invited to pitch attend an intensive pitch preparation session led by experts.

The result has been a series of outstanding events which have offered Coutts' clients something unique. Social businesses secure investment, make useful contacts and improve their selling skills.
