What does it do?

The Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) addresses every aspect of the average lifestyle and seeks to find alternative and sustainable methods of living in a changing world. The key areas it works in are renewable energy, environmental building, energy efficiency, organic growing, and alternative sewage systems. (CAT) is an educational institute, providing learning for any level, from infants to postgraduates; particularly in science, technology and geography. CAT also comprises a small community who live at the Centre, experimenting with different ways of living, putting cooperative and environmental ideas into action.
