CellAegis Devices is manufacturing a safe, non-invasive medical device that reduces the magnitude of a heart attack by up to 40-50%. There are 70,000 heart attacks annually in Canada. In 2009, an estimated 785,000 Americans had a new heart attack and 470,000 had a recurrent attack. The external device automates the process of preconditioning which activates the body’s innate protective mechanisms to significantly reduce the amount of heart damage. It is also known to reduce pain and adverse events for angioplasties and cardiac surgeries.

Woodside Rural Care CIC

Woodside Rural Care CIC is a ‘Care Farm’ and provides supported activities, training and work experience in a safe and caring environment with skilled professionals in response to the needs of disadvantaged individuals within the local community. Care farming is the therapeutic use of farming practices providing health, social or educational care services for one or a range of vulnerable groups of people. This includes people with mental health problems, people suffering from mild to moderate depression, adults and children with learning disabilities, children with autism, those with a drug or alcohol addiction history, disaffected young people, adults and people on probation.
