Through its clients, the company encourages sustainable development and ethical business practices. Investing Ethically also offers 50% of its commission on ISAs to a wildlife charity of the donor's choice. If any CAAT (Campaign Against Arms Trade) supporters go to Investing Ethically for financial advice, the company will donate 10% of its initial commission to the charity.

Its history
Investing Ethically was founded by Alan Kirkham in July 2000, based on the principles of Steven Covey and Quaker Business Practice: simplicity, truth, equality and peace. Prior to founding Investing Ethically, Alan was a member of the Ethical Investment Cooperative and he has been involved in the movement towards green and ethical business practices for some years, starting in the animal rights movement and developing into the wider issues of human rights and ethical money.
