In April 2008 Adrienne Katz set up Youthworks, a consultancy on policy and practice concerning children and young people. She has worked closely with 14 local authorities in the West Midlands where she has held the post of Regional Co-ordinator now Regional Adviser, for the Anti-Bullying Alliance since its inception.

The Pierian Centre

The Pierian Centre is a space for conferences, meetings and celebrations of all shapes and sizes paying their way as a business and putting any profit back into the world around through a programme of community and arts events. It attracts a wide range of people, from management teams in blue chip companies and organisations working with disadvantaged young people, to musicians, yoga teachers and voice coaches. They believe in taking responsibility for the community.

We offer business advice, training and support to those working primarily for the benefit of the social economy. Our client base includes a wide range of social enterprises, development agencies and public sector clients through the South West region and further afield. We are a social enterprise and a worker co-operative based in Exeter, Devon. Our own experience of running a social enterprise gives us first-hand experience of the challenges our clients often face and we believe that to ‘walk the talk’ helps us provide a better service. We are therefore delighted to have been awarded the Social Enterprise Mark, which demonstrates our commitment to high quality social enterprise.
