What does it do?

Croydon Appliance Re-use Centre (ARC) provides furniture and appliances to local people on limited incomes. ARC collects used appliances and furniture for local councils and accept donations from members of the public. As part of its social business initiative, and working in partnership with Job Centreplus, Croydon Voluntary Action, Mencap also provides work experience for people trying to get into work either after a period of unemployment or as a result of their medical condition. Many of the volunteers have learning and other disabilities.
