ClearlySo international

In selected instances, interest in our model has been very high and ClearlySo has been approached by local partners seeking to use the ClearlySo model in their local markets. The global expansion of the network benefits entrepreneurs, investors and corporations. Below is an outline of progress to date.

Canada

In March 2010 ClearlySo launched its first non-UK presence in Toronto, Canada, run by entrepreneur Julie McDowell. For more information on the services available.

India

In mid 2010, ClearlySo and the Shell Foundation agreed to cooperate in launching ClearlySo India. The vast potential of this market, and the strong interest from investors, worldwide, make this an attractive market for ClearlySo. The Shell Foundation has almost supported many Indian Social Entrepreneurs.

East Africa

Working with support from Barclays, ClearlySo is establishing a new entity based in Kenya to service East Africa. The new organisation is run by Helen Gibbons, an entrepreneur with extensive experience in the region. She is providing support to social businesses and enterprises across East Africa and has already begun a series of Social Investment Live Pitch sessions.

Europe

Much of our network, outside the UK and North America, is based in Europe and ClearlySo sees itself as a European firm based in the UK. We welcome European partners and are in active negotiations with several.
